We are looking for an Automation QA Engineer to join the VerityRMS team, which develops investment research management software.
Verity is a leading provider of research management software, data, and analytics for investment managers. VerityRMS is the platform that helps analysts, compliance teams, and portfolio managers work more efficiently and make faster decisions. Our team focuses on building flexible and reliable solutions tailored to client needs.
You will join the team at an exciting stage, as we are rethinking and rebuilding our test automation approach across the product. We are looking for someone who wants to take ownership from day one – not just follow existing practices, but help define them.
You will collaborate closely with both the local team and US-based engineers, and work directly with the CTO and Product Manager. In this role, you will contribute to code reviews, sprint planning, and technical discussions, with a real voice in engineering decisions. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys autonomy, likes building processes from the ground up, and wants to make a direct impact on product quality.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with software engineers, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure they are clear, testable, and aligned with product goals
- Analyze product requirements, specifications, and technical documentation to identify test scenarios, edge cases, and quality risks
- Validate completed features through hands-on testing, then convert findings into documented test cases and queue them for automation in the next release cycle
- Design, build, and maintain automated tests using Cypress or Playwright
- Help define the automation approach, testing priorities, and test architecture for the product
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies and team discussions to ensure quality is integrated throughout the development cycle
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, test coverage, and automation practices
Personal Profile Overview
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
- Stability in previous employment history with a tendency to remain with employers for extended periods
- Experience in managing diverse project activities (not just testing, but also requirements analysis, preparing estimations)
- Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written, ability to convey ideas, information, and messages accurately and efficiently
- Proficiency in fostering effective collaboration and teamwork activities
- Ability to analyze information, assess situations, and make decisions based on sound reasoning and logical evaluation
- Focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences and prioritizing customer satisfaction
- Analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and strategic approach to technical challenges
- Transparency in sharing the information within a team and company
- Willingness to acquire new knowledge and insights to enhance professional growth and performance
Required Skills
- 3+ years of experience as an Automation QA Engineer, with a solid background in manual testing
- Good understanding of SDLC, Agile processes and testing approaches
- Excellent understanding of QA processes, testing methodologies and best practices
- Strong hands-on experience with Cypress or Playwright
- Good knowledge of JavaScript
- Experience in requirements analysis, test scenario design and test case development
- Experience in testing web applications
- Comfortable with GIT, branching strategies and working in a shared codebase with other engineers
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work proactively and independently
- Advanced English level – comfortable with sustained technical conversations, as the role involves heavy daily communication in English

- Interest in modern testing approaches and AI-assisted testing
- Good knowledge of TypeScript
